Tommy's Window Search Feature

This 'Search' feature is very basic and not as fast as we'd like it to be. Each time you conduct a search it searches all the web pages on our site, which takes some time to go through to find the search item. Please, be patient, it takes a little while - partly depending on your internet speed.
 
Please refer to the 'Search Tips' below to use this feature in the best way to help you find what you are looking for.
 
'Search' will find word(s) or phrase(s) on our website. The search results will show the web pages where they are found, which includes articles, slideshows, etc.
 
Note: Where the first line includes the word 'Slideshow' or 'Slideshows' - this page has slideshows.
Also in the URL line where it has the word 'downloads' - this page has slideshows.

When ' Your Search ' results come up; click any one of the web page links to go to that page. When you get to that page; press ctrl+F and enter what you are searching for to find it on that page.

PS. We are working on categorizing the slideshows and adding descriptive words to accompany the slideshows to make it easier to find what you are seeking on our site. This will take some time since there is a lot work involved to do this.

SEARCH TIPS
 

Basic Searching:

Simply enter a word or phrase in the box above and click the "Search!" button (or press the 'Enter' key). All pages within the site containing these words will be returned, indexing by relevance.
For ease of use, searches are not case-sensitive.

If you would prefer to be more specific, the "advanced" functions can be used (see below).
 


Wildcard  "*"  Searching:

Wildcard searches can be used to search for parts of words [by using the asterisk * ].
For example, you may want to find words that begin with "cat" ( type in: cat* ),
words that end with "ing" ( type in: *ing )
or perhaps words containing "sept" ( type in: *sept* ).

Examples:

Type in:   Cat*    -and it will match cat, catalytic, catch etc..
Type in:  *ing      -and it will match sing, flying, marching etc..
Type in:  *sept*  -and it will match September, aseptic, antiseptic etc..
 


Multiple Words and Phrases:

To search for phrases which may exist together ( example: Index Server ) you must surround the query with speech [quotation] marks ( "index server" ).

Examples:

Type in:  Index server   -and it will return documents containing the words:   index  and  server
-regardless of position or order on the page.

Type in:  "index server"  -and it will return documents containing the phrase:   Index Server
-where these two words are together and Server follows Index.

 

The "OR" operator:

The default "Boolean" operator for searches is "AND". Where a search is submitted containing multiple words or phrases this will return documents that contain all the words or phrases.
 
If you would prefer to use the "OR" operator, simply use "OR" between your keywords or phrases.

Examples:

Type in:  Index simon       -and it will return documents containing:  Index  and  simon .
Type in:  Index OR simon  -and it will return documents containing either:  Index  or  Simon .
